About PodChapters®
Podcast chapters have a long history, going back to the early days of podcasting when podcasters would publish separate “Enhanced AAC” podcasts with chapters.
Now, MP3s and many popular podcast apps support chapters.
But it’s still a pain to add chapters to your podcast. There hasn’t been a goodsolution for adding chapters that wasn’t limited to a specific platform or frustrating workflow.
Further, there are now multiple standards for podcast chapters: legacy MP3 chapters, Podcasting 2.0 cloud chapters (and someday super chapters), Podlove Simple Chapters, and in-content timestamps.
And this is where PodChapters comes in!
PodChapters helps whether you already know your episode outline or need help finding natural topic breaks. Paste your own outline to turn it into timed chapters, or let AI suggest chapters from your episode.
Then, whether you provide the outline yourself or let PodChapters suggest chapters for you, PodChapters will automatically place them at the right times in your episode.
And if you don’t like the positions, you can easily drag and drop them to the right place and edit the titles. Or add links and images to your chapters.
About the maker, Daniel J. Lewis
I’m Daniel J. Lewis, a Hall of Fame podcaster, educator, and innovator. I’ve been podcasting since 2004, and I’ve seen the industry change a lot.
I built PodChapters to solve my own frustrations with adding chapters to my own podcast. The process felt either fully manual, or badly automatic.
But PodChapters is smarter! When I make my own podcast episodes, I already know what I want my chapters to be, just not exactly where to place them. So I made PodChapters to help other podcasters like me, as well as provide smarter, faster, and better tools for any podcaster!
