PodChapters Terms of Service

Let’s keep this simple.

You can use PodChapters to chapter your episodes within the limits of your plan and for the duration of your subscription.

You maintain full ownership of your content that you provide to PodChapters and that PodChapters generates for you, including chapters, transcripts, images, outlines, timestamps, notes, and metadata.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PodChapters from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs) arising out of or in connection with your use of PodChapters, including but not limited to your violation of these Terms of Service.

Privacy policy

We collect the following data from you:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Website usage
• Your browser and device information
• Your IP address
• Any information PodChapters generates for you
• Any information you provide to PodChapters through the website or direct contact

We use this data to provide you with the services you request, to improve our website, and to communicate with you.

We will not sell your data to anyone without notifying you, which would probably only be if PodChapters was sold to another entity.

Acceptable use

You agree to use PodChapters only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe on the rights of others or restrict or inhibit anyone else’s use and enjoyment of PodChapters.

You agree to not use PodChapters to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Harm or exploit minors
• Infringe on the rights of others
• Spam or abuse PodChapters, its users, its affiliates, or its personnel

Further, you agree to not:

• Attempt to circumvent any of PodChapters’ security measures
• Abuse account limits
• Misrepresent PodChapters, its users, its affiliates, or its personnel

PodChapters reserves the right to terminate your account if you violate or are reasonably suspected of violating these terms.

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel your subscription at any time. If you cancel your subscription, you will not be refunded for the remainder of your current billing period, but you will be able to use PodChapters until your subscription term ends.

You can also upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time.

Refunds are available only within 24 hours of purchase or renewal and are subject to deduction of the retail value of any credits (called “transcription minutes”) used. Refunds must be requested via email to [email protected] within 24 hours of purchase or renewal.

PodChapters is provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. PodChapters is not responsible for any content you provide to PodChapters, including but not limited to chapters, transcripts, images, outlines, timestamps, notes, and metadata.
